Spirit's Flow

As wind is given voice by the shape
Of each tree
Through which it blows,

So Spirit is given voice by the shape
Of each of us
Through whom it flows.

Gently pruning away the dense tangle
Of inner branches,
The arborist opens a tree’s heart
To the nourishing flow of wind,
Unobstructed.
Gently pruning away the dense tangle
Of constraint, should and expectation,
We open our own heart
To the nourishing flow of Spirit,
Unobstructed.

The endless lesson repeats:
Letting go, letting flow.
